Levadura de cerveza // Brewer's yeast

(For English version please read below)

Today I want to share with you a food supplement that is part of my daily life:

BREWER'S YEAST

Because of the name it seems that it will contain gluten (like happens with the beer), but the brewer's yeast beer loses its gluten component during the process of washing and drying and is therefore suitable for coeliacs. However we must ensure that the manufacturer indicate on the label that it is "gluten free" because could exist a contamination during packaging. In Spain I have found a suidable brand: Deliplus de Hacendado.

This supplement is ideal for strengthen the hair, the nails and also the skin improvement, and it is also contains  vitamins (B1,B2, B3, B5, B9, Biotine) and provides an extra dose of protein in the diet. You can take two tablespoons a day. I like to add on the salads or pasta dishes like a condiment, but some people prefer to add it in yougurt or juices.

The taste of the beer yeast is a bit special. I mean that the first day I tried it I don't like it too much. You can try to add it slowly until you get used to the taste. And for those or those you that can not bear with the taste, you can use the opcions of capsules. For this option also remember to check the packaging to assure that is certified gluten free.

Finally I give you a very easy way to prepare a healty and delicious snack to enjoy anytime you want;
