Crema de calabaza / Pumpkin Cream

Llega el otoño y empieza el tiempo de llenar la despensa de colores anaranjados con la calabaza y los boniatos. Ingredientes sencillos, económicos y sin gluten con los que se puede dar un toque original y creativo a los menú del día a día.

Hoy os dejo una receta para hacer una crema de calabaza rápida, y muy fácil de preparar. Por supuesto admite mil y una variantes según vuestros gustos. A mi me encanta el sabor de la calabaza así tal cual así que pero también queda bien con puerro, patata, o la verdura que más os guste.




INGREDIENTES:

- 1/2 calabaza mediana
- 1/2 cebolla tierna o puerro
- Un vaso de agua
- Sal, aceite y pimienta

PREPARACIÓN:

- Pelar la calabaza y sacar las semillas y cortar en trozos. Pelar y trocear la cebolla y poner los dos ingredientes en una olla junto con el agua. Cuanto más pequeños hagamos los trozos más rápido se cocinará.
-  Encender el fuego y dejar hervir unos 15-20 minutos. Cuando la calabaza esté tierna apagar el fuego.
- Machacar bien con el tenedor o si preferís una textura más fina pasar por el miniprimer y ya tenemos el puré listo para servir. Aliñar al gusto con sal, pimienta, aceite, semillas de sésamo, gomasio...

Today I leave the recipe for pumpkin cream quick and easy to prepare. Of course it admits a thousand varieties according to your tastes. I really love the taste of sweet pumpkins so I don't use too many ingredients but you can try it with potato or other vegetable that you like.


INGREDIENTS:

- 1/2 medium pumpkin
- 1/2 fresh onion or leek
- A big glass of water
- Salt , oil and pepper

PREPARATION:


- Peel pumkin and scoop the seeds, cut into pieces. Peel and cut the onion. Put both ingredients in a pot with water. The smaller you make the pieces faster we will cook them.
- Turn on the heat and boil for 15-20 minutes. When the pumpkin is tender put out the fire.

- Mash well with a fork or if you prefer use a masher machine to find a finer texture and you will have the puree ready to serve. Remember to add the salt, the pepper, the oil or the sesame seeds toasted, gomasio ...
